If couples who are fighting would dance to this instead, who needs a law for violence against women? This is a dance interpretation of Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love performed by Mark and Chelsea at So You Think You can Dance. Amazing how a dance can poignantly interpret pain, a bleeding one at that.

Atty. Adel Tamano For Senator
He's on the top of my list. His pretty face may either work to his advantage or yield the opposite effect. I hope people will see beyond his exteriors and get to know about what this guy can do for our country. Please spend your votes wisely and include him in your senatorial list.
American Idol Season 9 Pinoy Lookalikes
I'm a fan of the number one US talent show but with the frequent brownouts in my city for the past few months, I've been missing out a lot. Still, I can't help but notice the semblance of 2 of the finalists from American Idol Season 9 with some of our local celebrities.
First is the charming Siobhan Magnus, whose special skill in hitting banshee-high notes effortlessly is often compared with Adam Lambert's. Her looks isn't anywhere close to Adam, although they're both pretty. :) She reminds me of a local star who used to be married to Benjie Paras, Jackie Forster. I don't know where Jackie is right now. I don't seem to see her anywhere in showbiz anymore. The last I heard she studied to become a freelance hair and makeup artist/ image consultant.
Siobhan Magnus
Jackie Forster
The next is Tim Urban, who along with ousted finalist Alex Lambert are stuck in the 60's or 70's, as evidenced by their old-fashioned hairstyles. With a few more members, they could revive the Beatles band- with Alex being the younger Paul McCartney. But if he comes to the Philippines, he could star as Tom Taus' missing brother in the remake of "Cedie, ang Munting Prinsipe." Tom, Antoinette Taus' younger brother, I presume is not so munti (little) anymore and I don't have a clue where is he is now.

On Getting What You Want
I'm loving the sense of humor of Esther Hicks and how she gets the message across using that ability. Here's a video during one of her inspirational talks. I want to attend her workshops. And if it's not too much to ask, join one of their cruise ship seminars. That would be fab!

New Look
It's a good thing I'm keeping this blog on a free platform because I don't have to feel guilty leaving it empty for a long time. I know it's going to be here when I come back for it, unlike self-hosted blogs that go phloof upon failure to renew.
I thought of giving this blog a new look using some free templates I found on the net. Pretty neat, huh? Browsed through my entries years ago and couldn't help laughing over my stream of thoughts. If my future children and grandchildren read those posts, I'm not sure if they'd be proud of me. But somehow my sense of humor was sharper back then.
I've been reading a lot of motivational videos these past few days, mostly applying the law of attraction. I've manifested several things, people and events in my life through this phenomenon. The mind has certainly a lot more going than being a memory bank, learning device and judgment tool. It has the power to turn ideas into reality. The word becomes flesh because of what we focus on.
One of my favorite gurus, John Assaraf, spoke about vision boards in "The Secret". I think it works well for blogs too because 90% of the wishes I posted here came to life. The 10% that didn't come true refers to the Iphone I asked for last month. The universe hotline either had a busy signal or was blocked by the signal jammers springing out everywhere to threaten the incoming automated election.
I'm getting a high listening to Anthony Robbins right now talking about rewiring one's approach towards health. The guy's gifted with the power of conviction, I wish I had the same ability. Ok, he just said to give the body a rest. Guess he knows I'm still up.

Your Ticket To A Million Dollar Career On The Internet
January 28, 2010 – WHITNEY,TX – Stephen Pierce, the Internet’s #1 wealth advocate, announces that his MRMI SuperCash system, created in 2008 to help people start their own online business, now has had almost 9,000 members sign up and is poised to reach the 10,000 member milestone this year.
“This is a significant achievement given the state of our economy today,” says Pierce. “But more importantly, it shows that people are willing to rise above their circumstances and take back control of their lives by starting learning how to make real money on the Internet.”
Members of Super Cash Are From All Walks Of Life
Many MRMI SuperCash members have never run a business before or haven’t had much computer experience. Yet here are what many current members have been able to achieve:
* Create autoblogs and then sell them for a profit.
* Drive traffic to their affiliate sites where they sell Stephen Pierce’s products and earn a commission.
* Learn multiple ways to earn money online through the Internet Marketing education provided in the weekly live webinar training.
“With SuperCash you are never alone,” says Pierce. “We provide support and the members can also interact with each other in the private forum.”
The best part about building an online income the MRMI SuperCash way is that you learn to build the foundation for passive residual income. There are no products to stock, no products to ship, no phone calls to make and no experience required.

Calling The Universe
My addiction for creating videos using my laptop's video editing software just doesn't stop. I made a video on Century Bangus as an entry to Nuffnang's contest in which Iphones are up for grabs! It's a blog writing contest but I made extra efforts to make a video of it. Here's a call to the universe to make me win. Oh please, please, pretty please?
My contest entry is posted at my other blog here.

Experimenting With Vaio Movie Story
I've been using my Sony Vaio for almost a year now but it was only yesterday when I decided to create a video using its Vaio Movie Story, a video editing tool. There are templates that are ready to use, you just have to add the pictures and videos you want to appear on the storyline and the editor will arrange the scenes. You can tweak it afterwards. I used the pics on our recent photoshoot by Bon Aserios and some video clips taken with my Nokia E71.
I am getting hooked on editing videos that I have to constantly remind myself I still have tons of things to do. Anyway, here is my first attempt at video editing using Sony Vaio:

Field of Dreams
A shot I took using my trusty Nikon D40 and kitlens. This was during our photoshoot last Saturday with photographer Bon Aserios. He edited the pic. It was a Japanese-themed pictorial in which I did the makeup for our model, Audrey.
I have another scheduled Geisha shoot and I understand my clients' fascination for such themes. Photographs featuring Japanese scenery are always so rich and colorful, which brings Akira Kurosawa's film, Dreams, to mind.
I really hope to revive my passion for photography soon. I wish I could have the 50mm lens that Bon recommended.
Here is the original version of the pic:

Urduja's Lullaby
Cagayan de Oro used to pride itself for being such a safe place from natural calamities. It was the typhoon in January 2009 that heralded things were about to change.
Suddenly, streets are flooded, vehicles are stranded and people lose their homes. We are no longer a disaster-free city. Although our families' places are safely tucked, it worries me when I travel during these times. I experienced soaking my car in the highway and its automatic engine flickered. Thank God, it didn't give up totally and still safely brought us home. I made a mental note not to brave the flood next time.
Two days ago, another typhoon hit this side of the country and caused landslides in some nearby towns. The pour of the rain was mild yet steady. It went on for two days, immersing Cagayan roads in muddy water once again.
My hubby, who was on 24 hours duty, reported that the hallways of the hospital were being flooded. Outside, the water was ankle-length when he had his dinner. I remember how we feared heavy downpours at the Radiology Department because the ultrasound machine needed some rescuing each time.
I was at my brother's house looking after my niece who was down with fever. Just to make sure it wasn't dengue and so I could avoid the possible flood along the highway, I stayed for the night. I would have been a cool, restful sleep had I not been worrying when the rain would stop.
There was no AM Radio at my brother's home so I was constantly checking my phone's internet for updates but then as expected, twitter, facebook and other social networking sites are only packed with info when Manila is involved. The gentle yet treacherous sound of Urduja singing dozed me off eventually.

Efren Penaflorida: Modern Day Hero
Another proud moment for Filipinos. Our bet to the CNN Hero of the Year, Efren Penaflorida was declared as the winner during the All Star Tribute at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Online votes made him the ultimate hero, besting 9 other nominees from different countries.
His advocacy to educate the street children through a pushcart was the heroic act that put him in the list of nominees of the annual CNN awards that recognizes individuals with selfless humanitarian acts from all over the world.
I personally salute him for his efforts to care for others who may be difficult to deal with. Not all children are cute. I had bad encounters with rowdy street kids but people like Efren go out of their way to reach out to them. It entails great sacrifices, patience and passion to accomplish his tasks without expecting for monetary gains. For that, he is indeed the modern-day hero that our society needs. The coveted plum has $100,000 cash reward but he will be using it to fund his organization called the Dynamic Teen Company (DTC) to continue his advocacy.
My husband and I voted for him a couple of times and we are happy that he got the recognition that he truly deserves. May his tribe increase and we hope that he can inspire more young people to make a difference. Here's hoping that the politicians running for the 2010 will not use him for their campaign and instead take from him what selfless service is all about.

I'm Back!

After almost a year of not updating this site, I have decided to return to the blog that started it all.
It seems almost everything I post here mobilizes the universe to give me what I want. From the ideal husband to the digital cameras, the law of attraction worked every time. Even the $8,000,0000 check I previously posted did materialize... several zeroes were lacking, though. After blogging about the "secret" check, I got a call offering an P8000 monthly deal. Well, at least it got some digits right even if the $ sign was replaced by Peso currency.
After revisiting my original home in the web, I realized that the last post was titled award-winning. Somehow, that dialed the universe hotline and made my beauty blog win at the Philippine Blog Awards.
I decided that my blog holds some power and it doesn't deserve to get abandoned. With all the emo posts I infiltrated this site before, I need to reverse its effects and bring more positive vibes to the world.
Will it be too much to ask for a perfect health? .. and wealth to come with it? Universe, I'm back so please heed my call.

Award Winning
I have been tagged by Misakichan. Although my recent blog entries aren't as juicy as my posts the past few years, thanks for considering this blog as one of the coolest that you know. :P
Once this award is accepted, the rules are as follows:
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. Nominate 10 other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs
I have lost most of my blogging friends ever since I abandoned this blog for a while so I cannot really fill in the 10 nominees. But I'm hoping these people will take the tag:
.. hmm.. I've come to realize that I hardly have friends who are into blogging. :( As if Wu Chun would yield to my tag.

Globe Visibility
Our net server at home had been acting up the past week. With all the works that I'm trying to finish, it got so frustrating that I had to ask my hubby to get a globe visibility prepaid kit.
It is expensive, compared to the unlimited internet hours that we have with our regular web server. However, getting a back up in case internet connection gets messed up again is a necessity, with all the online jobs that got my hands on.
The first time I tried it, it was a dismay. With no 3G signal here at home, the connection was like going back to dial up era once again. It took too long to load, with frequent disconnections that translates to bigger bills since we pay P5 per 15 minute surfing time. Being disconnected before 15 minutes leaves you with P5 wasted each time.
On the positive side, I tried it at the school clinic this afternoon where there was a 3G signal. Amazingly, the connection was uber fast. I got to enjoy continuous youtube videos. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes or so, the connection just hanged and needed to be restarted. Oh well.
I hope the technology in mobile internet moves up really soon. Perhaps one day its glitches will be a thing of the past. People breathe internet these days. Myself included.

Christmas Gifts
In 22 days, it's already Christmas. I have happy memories of the season as a kid. Life was much simpler then. We used to hang stockings that were supposedly filled up with goodies from Santa Claus. I would look forward to parties, exchange gifts and noche buena (midnight meal) with the family when the clock strikes 12:00. It was time to open our presents.
Presently, I am excited about shopping for Christmas gifts. There's something about Christmas that makes you more generous. If only I had all the money to spend. But like the old saying goes, it's the thought that counts.
I am at a loss with what kids are up to these days, good thing there's shop wiki online where i could search for any toy that I hear about and browse what they look like.
My niece Xylene is fond of gundam toys. I don't really know what that is except that I saw her assembling weird looking robot figures. Caitlin is an anime freak. I might give her something that has her favorite anime characters. Chinchin is a psp addict. I could buy her a new game to install.
With this innovative idea from shop wiki, it makes it easier fo shoppers to search for any gift item they have in mind because they are guided into all possible stores that sell the stuff they want to buy. It's your portal to a convenient Christmas shopping.
